User Privacy Choices
How you can control your information on Ed-Cred
Ed-Cred is built around honest feedback, safety, and transparency. This page summarizes practical choices you have regarding your account, communications, and personal data while using our platform—including reviews, discussions, subscriptions, and verification flows. For full details, read our Privacy Policy.
Account and profile
- Sign-in options: You can create an account with email and password or use Google sign-in, depending on availability. You may disconnect or stop using a sign-in method by updating your account settings where supported, or by contacting us.
- Profile details: You can update optional fields (such as location, education, profession, or bio) from your profile when logged in, subject to moderation and authenticity rules.
- Password and security: Use a strong, unique password and use the password reset flow if you suspect unauthorized access.
Reviews and public content
- What appears publicly: Published reviews and related metadata are intended to be useful to the community. Follow our review guidelines; avoid posting personal contact information or sensitive data about others.
- Corrections: If you made an error in a submitted review before publication, contact support through the Contact page. After publication, changes may be limited and subject to moderation.
- Removal requests: If you believe content violates policy or law, use the appropriate reporting or dispute paths described on the site. We evaluate requests consistent with our terms and applicable law.
Email and notifications
- Account and transactional emails: We send messages necessary to operate your account (e.g., password reset, email verification, subscription or payment receipts, dispute updates). You cannot opt out of these while maintaining certain services.
- Marketing or optional updates: Where we offer promotional or newsletter emails, we will provide an unsubscribe link or preference center when applicable.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar tools for essential site operation (e.g., session login, security, CSRF protection), preferences, and to understand how the site is used in aggregate. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may affect login or certain features.
Subscriptions and payments
Paid features are processed by our payment partner. You can manage billing and cancellation according to the subscription or checkout screens and our terms. We retain limited transaction records as described in the Privacy Policy.
Leadership verification and documents
If your role requires verification, you may choose email verification or document upload where offered. Uploaded documents are stored securely and used only for verification and compliance purposes described at collection. If you have questions about retention or deletion of verification materials, contact us via the Contact page.
AI-assisted features
Some features (such as review moderation assistance or the on-site assistant) may process the text you provide to generate helpful outputs. Do not submit sensitive information you do not want processed for these purposes. We configure providers to support our service and do not use your content to train public models unless we notify you otherwise.
Access, correction, and deletion
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise a request, contact us through Contact. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We may retain information where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, unfinished disputes).
Do not sell / share (U.S. state privacy)
Ed-Cred does not sell your personal information in the traditional sense. If applicable state laws give you opt-out rights related to certain advertising or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, we will honor recognized opt-out signals or requests as required when those laws apply to our practices. Contact us if you believe a specific use should be limited.
