Dispute Guidelines

How formal disputes about published reviews work on Ed-Cred

If you believe a published review about you or your organization is false, violates our policies, or causes unfair harm, Ed-Cred offers a structured dispute process. These guidelines summarize what to expect; fees and timelines may be shown in the product at the time you file a dispute.

1. Who can dispute

Typically, disputes are initiated by individuals or organizations who are the subject of a review (or their authorized representatives). You may need to sign in and verify your identity or relationship to the review subject.

2. What disputes are for

Disputes are not a substitute for general “I disagree” feedback on subjective opinions that comply with our rules—we prioritize clear policy or accuracy issues.

3. Filing a dispute

Use the dispute flow linked from the review or your account area. Provide a clear explanation of the problem, cite specific statements or policy sections where possible, and attach evidence you are allowed to share (e.g., documents, links to public records). Incomplete filings may be delayed or declined.

4. Fees

A processing fee may apply to cover review, moderation, and payment processing. Fees are disclosed at checkout (for example, via Stripe). Submitting payment does not guarantee a particular outcome—it pays for a good-faith review of your claim under our policies.

5. Review and outcomes

Our team may investigate, request more information, or consult logs and moderation history. Possible outcomes include: no change, edits to the review, temporary unpublishing, permanent removal, or other remedies consistent with our terms. We aim for fair and consistent decisions but cannot promise a specific result.

6. Appeals and escalation

If the platform provides an appeal step, follow the instructions in your dispute correspondence. Otherwise, you may contact us through the Contact page with your dispute reference number.

7. Legal claims

Nothing here limits your right to seek remedies outside Ed-Cred where the law allows. Our Legal Disclaimer and Terms of Use describe limitations of liability and governing law where applicable.
